Good day today. The weather is perfect.
After waking up far too early i went back to bed and managed to sleep in for about three hours, something I haven't done in a long time.
Went out with Emma and her mom for a tasty Dim-Sum lunch. The people who work at the restaraunt are very nice.
From there we hopped on a bus and went to SFMOMA. Some of the permanent exhibit had changed and I literally almost ran to a Roberto Matta that I've never seen before. R. was asking me about all kinds of various artists and I felt like a cross between a very intelligent man and a pretentious idiot. So many people staring at me as I explained some art. It was rather embarassing. Then upstairs to the Matisse sculpture exhibit, which was amazing. There is a row of five busts that I just fell in love with. I want to sculpt again. It's been a lot of years. It's good to move on to something like that when painting is getting old.
By the way, the number of gorgeous asian women at MOMA was staggering!
Speaking of which, from there we wandered around Chinatown. I was unable to find acupuncture needles, but I wasn't looking too hard. Then into North Beach, a.k.a. Little Italy. We had dinner at a lovely little Italian place that had a tailless cat wandering around on the patio. She was very cute and super-friendly.
From there R. had to leave. She had a two hour drive home.
Overall it was a very satisfying day.
