It's overcast but it's nice.
I went to bed early but didn't sllep so well. I was pretty hyper, not to mention in a good mood yesterday, so some of the residual carried over into my sleepy time. But it's not a bad thing. I still feel pretty htper and hopeflly it'll keep going. Today is supposed to be very busy, with teaching, then off to Chinatown for some New Year parades, then it's off to have dinner at Margaret's house. All in all I'm looking forward to all of it but I'm just concerned about the energy level.

What a busy day. First off I went and taught and had a huge beginners class, a good sized advanced class, and a good adult class. I was into throwing the smack down and making sure that the kids fell in line. But it was okay...the parents always encourage me to be more strict.
From there I had lunch with Ploo, Betty, Nic, and Kalvin at a chinese restaurant which was pretty good. After we ate we braved the immense winter weather, which was making a very pretty mist, and caught the 9X to Chinatown for the New Year festival. To may surprise I found a Genggong at a music store out there! I was immensely excited about that.

Emma and I headed back this way and relaxed for an hour or so before we went to have dinner at Margaret's apartment. We had very delicious polenta, an amazing salad, and cauliflower, which I tend not to like. Wine being seves liberally throughout. For dessert we had some amazing microwave brownies, blueberries, and cherries. Good stuff. Helped her wash the dishes then it was time to come home.

Off to Oakland tomorrow to scope out the place my exhibit is going to be.
