Just got in from dinner at Video Cafe.

Today was a really lazy day. I woke up late and then spent the day watching movies. First was "The Killing of Satan" and it was great! Definitely one of the weirdest movies ever. The I watched the Sci-fi film "Arena" and it was filled with a lot of cheese, but it was also a lot of fun. Then, surprisingly, I watched a third film, the Indonesian rape/revenge movie "Lady Exterminator". So i really enjoyed my day. I don't have enough that are this relaxing.

Dr. Loo goes to the vet tomorrow to see if she can have her cone taken off. I hope so and I'm sure she does too. Poor little girl.

Today is my two year anniversary of moving to San Francisco. It is still the best thing I've done in a lot of years.

Written about a friend...
"It is my great pleasure to introduce you to the subversive mind of Shawn Waltman, someone I have been a fan of for years, someone who just stepped back into my life after over ten years of losing contact. He is one of my original partners in crime, 50% of the dreaded art group "The Donkey Clan".....and one of my best friends. Please go to [link] to see what this mad collagist/noisician/photographer has been up to.
I believe these collages were made on a xerox machine. I can just imagine him in a store with his arms full of papers, maniacally placing them in various permutations, and laughing at the unsuspecting passerby. That's my old friend.
In our teenage years, when we were both outcast weirdos, our friendship, art, and music were all we had that kept us from ending it all... plus the friendship of another madman named John Bowman, whose poems I will post soon.
Here's to old friends coming back."

Sweet words from an overseas friend...
"I would also really like to thank *JimmyMcCullough for inspiring me back in February to get this show organised. I might have taken a whole extra year to get the courage up to get my art into the real world. I'm sooooo happy about this, its something I've been wanting to do for 2 years. So, a massive thank you for being a brilliant inspiration Jimmy! "
